Christophe Van Mechelen

Christophe Van Mechelen (° 17-08-1981) is a lawyer mainly active in commercial law in the broad sense, and more particularly in transport law, maritime law, commercial practices and special commercial contracts (concessions, agencies, etc.). He also assists clients within the field of real estate law (incl. commercial lease, residential tenancy or standard lease).

Christophe Van Mechelen graduated in 2005 as a law degree from the University of Antwerp. Subsequently he obtained an additional Master International Business Law in 2006 in Manchester (United Kingdom). He has been affiliated with the Antwerp Bar since 2006. Christophe Van Mechelen did his internship at Van Doosselaere Advocaten where he developed his passion for transport-, logistics and commercial law.

Meanwhile, he developed extensive experience in the aforementioned legal branches, ranging from negotiating and drafting contracts, writing advices, representation before courts and tribunals. As a lawyer, he focuses on private as well as professional clients.

The quality of the legal services, the acquisition of very thorough file knowledge, a personal contact with the client and individual advice are paramount him.

Christophe Van Mechelen was appointed Honorary Consul of Latvia in 2015 for the consular area of Flanders.
